Real Life Faces.

This is my "hyper happy" face. It's how I have felt for about half of today. The other half was the exact opposite of hyper happy.

The bad half of my day consisted of me studying for a huge test and being completely unable to focus. You know those days when you just cannot make your mind think about what you want it to think about? Yeah...it didn't help that the test was all about the holocaust. Talk about a downer. Then on my way home for lunch it started snowing.

The good half of my day consisted of sleeping in until 8:30 because my 9 am class was cancelled, finally discovering how much better instant oatmeal tastes when you make it with milk instead of water, and a university forum with JAMES LOVELL. Ok, you probably have no idea who that is (I didn't either) but Captain Lovell was the commander for Apollo 13! Tom Hanks plays him in a movie, how cool is that? You have to be a pretty big deal to have Tom Hanks play you in a movie. He basically just told the story of Apollo 13 and talked a little bit about Apollo 8; he is a really good storyteller. He talked about how humbling it was to see the earth so small and far away and emphasized how beautiful the colors are compared to the gray moon and the blackness of space...it was fascinating. Everyone should watch the movie asap. It's so good! Here's the preview.
Also, I got a really good grade on the test that I thought I was going to fail, and my night class got out an hour early. And my teacher brought us cookies. Good day.
