Coco

Saturday afternoon was the BYU vs Utah basketball game! We led by about 14 for almost the entire thing but there was plenty to keep it interesting...

(the hit comes about a minute into the clip)

I wish I could have been there but people have been camping out at the Marriot Center since Monday. BYU sports fans are truly insane sometimes. There was no way I was going to stand out in the cold for 4 hours just to get a seat way up at the top. Rachel, Emily, and I opted to watch a live broadcast of the game in the Wilk. It wasn't as good as the real thing but it was better than watching it on my computer screen!

A few hours after the game, around midnight, Emily and I decided that we had to see the movie "Coco Before Chanel." So we put together these lovely ensembles of pajamas and sweatshirts, made ourselves a little snack, and went to the dollar theater even though it was already past my bedtime. I love us.
Anyone who knows me at all knows that I fall asleep in movies all the time. I am also a "bedtime girl" as my roommate Athena would say. I don't usually stay up past 12 unless going to bed means missing out on something really fun. So for me to stay awake through the entire movie and still be coherent at 2:30 am when it ended means that it was a really, really good movie. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you like the occasional artsy French period piece with subtitles, Audrey Tautou, and fashion up the wazoo then you will love this.

(Due to power outages in the Clyde Building in which some poor electrician practically fried himself and the entire building last week, we had church at 5:45 pm in the MARB...meaning I got to sleep in until 12:30. Midnight movies are my favorite. Especially when I can still get 9.5 hours of sleep)

  1. I get so jealous when you write about sleeping in. I'm sure your future self will appreciate the documentation of such treasured times.
