Why I Love BYU

Because the majority of the student body looks pretty similar (clean cut, modest, and white), people do super weird stuff to set themselves apart from "the crowd." For example, today as I was walking out of a class and merging into the mass of humanity that is inevitably present on campus any given day between 10:50 and 11:00, I passed a guy wearing a fanny pack. This wasn't just any fanny pack, it was a patchwork pink, yellow, and white pleather fanny pack. With red stitching. Walking right behind him, I kid you not, was a 6 ft something guy wearing a hat made out of the head of a stuffed raccoon doll. It looked like he was wearing Meeko on his head and he was cool and confident as could be. I love this place. I need to start carrying around my camera.

I googled fanny pack to try to find a picture that might accurately portray the hilarity of what I saw. The first result was "the doggie pack." So much better.
